Based in Sarasota and serving the Greater NYC area, Karlus brings decades of experience as a performer, producer, and educator to every project, blending the skill of a professional with the heart of a storyteller.

The Roots of Black Music in America
Since 2004, Karlus has taken audiences on a journey through the sounds that shaped American music. This program is a celebration of history told through song, covering everything from the deep emotions of spirituals and Ragtime to the energy of Jazz and Calypso. Karlus has shared this experience with nearly 60 libraries and countless schools, inviting people of all ages to experience history through the rhythms of Bourbon Street and the spirit of Louis Armstrong.

Now in Southwest Florida, he continues to provide professional, one-on-one lessons tailored to help every student reach their specific goals.
